Actor (1900–1998) best known as the hero John Harker opposite Bela Lugosi in the 1931 film Dracula. Vintage matte-finish 11 x 13.75 photo of Manners in costume, signed and inscribed later in black ballpoint “Dear L. Allan, what you see here is a mortal image of youthful beauty, but it fades & eventually disappears. The wishes here are from the immortal, eternal ‘I’ the spirit, which is real. Bless you Allan, David Manners 1975.” Scattered creases to edges and corners, one passing through inscription, and signature and inscription just a shade or two light, otherwise fine condition.
